Stanislaus Food Products is a nationally recognized, family-owned company known for crafting the finest Italian-style tomatoes and sauces for top-quality Italian restaurants and pizzerias.  We currently have an opening in our Human Resources Department for a Human Resources Generalist.

The Human Resources Generalist will provide HR administration support including benefits administration, talent acquisition, employment screenings, onboarding, etc., for all non-union employees using multiple digital platforms including the Stanislaus Food Product’s HRIS System, currently being developed.

The HR Generalist primarily will be responsible for functions as described below:

  • Understanding staffing needs in advance and maintaining approved staffing throughout the year.
  • Leverage online recruiting resources to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Take ownership of candidate experience by designing and managing job postings, job descriptions, position requirements, and collaborating with functional leads.
  • Screen candidates by reviewing resumes in the HRIS system and job applications and performing phone screenings and in person interviews.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules, arranging travel, lodging and meals, escorting applicant to interviews, and arranging visit(s) and or tour(s).
  • Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline (Handshake, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, etc.).
  • Stay well-informed of recruiting trends and best practices.
  • Work with Marketing department to advertise jobs on Stanislaus’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs and industry related career events alongside business partners for union and non-union staffing needs.
  • Develop and maintain a network of local contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates including trade schools, local colleges, and universities.
  • Work with Marketing department to ensure employer of choice image.
  • Facilitate the offer process by extending job offers and scheduling pre-employment screenings for administration (non-union) employees.
  • Facilitate the new hire onboarding and benefits enrollment process using the HRIS system for non-union employees.
  • Develop and maintain good relationship with the insurance vendor(s).
  • Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide HR administration support to non-union hourly employees for all HR functions/questions.
  • Administrate benefits and open enrollment for non-union business partners.
  • Assist HR Director with special projects.
  • Assist HR Director with employee concerns when needed.
  • Other functions as assigned
  • Travel 2-5%.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or 5-7 years of equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with non-union talent acquisition.
  • Ability to multitask and good follow through.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing using electronic media or memoranda.
  • Experience with EEOC and Affirmative Action regulations, employment sourcing, communications, human relations.
  • Experience managing projects using multiple application with MS Suite.

Candidate Preferences:

  • Experience with UKG recruiting platform strongly preferred.
